AREAS OF PRACTICE
Joseph Johnson is an associate with the litigation department. He has handled various civil, commercial, general consumer fraud and regulatory litigation matters, including defense of consumer-oriented lawsuits in the telemarketing and Internet space throughout the United States.
Prior to joining the firm, Joe was a litigator for several law firms in Manhattan, where his practice focused on domestic, international, media and entertainment clients in a variety of business disputes involving breach of contract claims and business torts of all manner, including defamation claims. He has litigated a broad range of issues before state and federal courts and in arbitrations.
Earlier in his career, Joe also had a focus on appellate practice, perfecting and arguing appeals, which resulted in more than forty reported decisions.
In 1994-95, he had a judicial clerkship with the Appellate Division, Third Department, of the New York State Supreme Court.
Joe is admitted to practice in New York and before the U.S. District Court, Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York.
