Legislators in Nevada are considering proposing an amendment to the State’s online poker law that would permit the governor to reach agreements with other states to allow for joint player pools with residents of those states.
With Delaware already allowing intrastate poker online, and California, New Jersey and Iowa close behind, such a move by Nevada could have a significant impact. While federal legislation could pre-empt this move eventually, federal bills have been languishing for over a year with no deadline for consideration, let alone passage, in sight.
Any move by Nevada in this direction would be of immediate interest to all gaming attorneys and those interested in Internet poker law in general
